50 years later and it’s still one of the most beautiful GT cars ever built, with quintessential Japanese styling. I hope Toyota will honor this car sometime this year.

I’d disagree with you there, I’d say it goes against the usual grain of Japanese style and looks like someone described an E-type down the phone.

I always kinda wondered by Toyota stylists didn’t take more inspiration from this car. It’s hard to believe the current gen Prius and the 2000GT were produced by the same company.

We’ll probably live to see its 100th anniversary too in 2067.

What there gonna do is tease us with a 2000 gt concept like the ft-1 and then never make it when everyone begs them to.
